help with creating classes for harness racers?

Hi everyone! I was hoping some of you might be able to help me out here. What kind of races do Standardbred harness racers run in the United States? Are they all mile long? In Finland, they usually run a 2100 meters which would be about 1.3 miles. I want to create more classes for Harness Racers, something a little more realistic. Or is everyone happy entering classes as follows: 1. 2-4yo fillies, 1 mile trot 2. 2-4yo colts, 1 mile trot 3. 5-7yo mares, 1 mile trot 4. 5-7yo stallions, 1 mile trot 5. 7yo+ mares, 1 mile trot 6. 7yo+ stallions, 1 mile trot 7. 4yo+, open sex, 2 mile trot 8. Fillies & mares, open age, 1 mile pace 9. Colts, stallions & geldings, open age, 1 mile pace
