Equus Unlimited, or EU, isn't some new game that some chick made up. We were founded waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2003 by some one other than me. I joined in October 2004, and long story short, I now totally own the thing after 3 years of running it with someone else that wasn't ... holding up her end of the bargain very well.
We just moved to a new board, non-proboards, and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Our wonderful PHP coder-dude has customized a PHP database for us thats a part of the forum itself.
While right now we are a fully forum based SiM, there might be a point in the future where we'll add in the fun stuff like an automatic bank and whatnot. But for right now, its the old fashioned way of playing, and we kinda like it that way.
We have a core group of players that have been playing for 5 years + now, and we won't leave for anything. Heck, lately a few of us have even discussed the possibility of moving cross country to share in the responsibilities of running a horse boarding facility here in Phoenix, AZ! Now how many SIM games do YOU know of where the members are THAT close to each other?
Right now we are exploring the possibilty of opening up EU to All-Sim. I'll let you all know if and when that happens . But in the mean time, we've got a solid, mature game with a serious history behind it. We've survived 2 total board & server crashes, loosing all but our most dedicated members, and most recently, the dramatic depart of the woman that was owner of the game when I was just a noob.
