I was 11 years old when I Dad died, that was in 1959. I was very active in sports and he was my greatest supporter. I now have 4 children, and 6 grandchildren and I'm 61 years old myself. There is only one thing that can ease your grief and that is the love of God. Nothing has replaced my Dad, it was a life changing experience for me, however I rest in the fact that I will see him again. People often ask me why I work so hard to keep boys softball alive and I believe it's to give young men the chance to enjoy the sport. I did not play sports much after my Dad's death, I wish I had but it was tough for me. Time and God's help have healed me and while it's still a painful memory for me 50 years later, I can look back and see where I've been helped by so many folks. I in no way have all the answers to life's mysteries, but I know someone that does.
