I read the recent article in Southeastern palms about a mystery palm in Alamaba. So often I see seekers of unknown Sabals looking to the Caribbean instead of considing western Mexico. Could this species be Sabal uresana? They have unusually long petioles, are much more cold tolerant that Sabals from the Caribbean, and a much more glaucous color than most other sabals. Just a thought.
