Thats what I use. You don't know for sure if the plant is in trouble or not, but using it will certainly bring plants out that are marginal. Now I use Zero-Tol, which is about the same thing but sold to nursery people. I have a few 1000 palms so it helps to use something like that. It also helps for the yellow spot fungus that I get on central American zamias.
