Hi everyone,
I recently ordered seeds from China Gardening Nursery of Trachycarpus fortuneii 'Winsan,' which is a form of T. fortuneii with fully rounded leaves. 60 out of 100 have already germinated in less than two weeks, and they're still sprouting! This is the best germination result I've ever gotten from Trachys..... For some reason, I've never had as much luck with Trachy seeds as others seem to.
I was just wondering if anyone else has grown these, and how many of the seedlings displayed the fully rounded leaves, as opposed to half or three quarter round of most windmills? Of course, I'm hoping it's a stable characteristic and ALL of them will be, but....time will tell. I just thought maybe some other SEPS members had tried these.
Thanks,
Dewayne
