Ok, where has all the excitement gone?
It's only about two weeks away from the annual
winter meeting in Savannah so we have to start talking it up a little!
I have a feeling the economy is dampening some
of our spirits and it may actually affect the turn out in Savannah. But, for those who are going, this is what I am bringing in hopes of
a trade or sale or donate to the auction.
I have two Phoenix theophrastii that are starting to form a trunk in the three gallon
pot that it has been growing in for 4 to 5 years since sprouting them from seed. Very good looking palms. I also have a Washitonia Filifra
in a three gallon pot and it is not happy because it has to be in a pot. This is common for that palm. I would like to trade one or two of these for a Butia Capitata or another Butia
variety with the same hardiness. If anyone has one that is going to the meeting let me know!
I will probably donate one of the Phoenix theophrastii palms to the auction.
Spring is just around the corner and I'm ready
to see some palms!
It's been a cold winter here
in Tennessee. Hope to see you there.
Mike
