Some great news about the Southeastern Palm Society’s summer meeting on August 2 in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Norfolk Botanical Garden, where the meeting will be held, is generously offering free admission to SPS members and their families and guests. (Family and guests must be in the same vehicle as the member.) At the garden’s admission desk, mention that you are attending the Southeastern Palm Society meeting and give your name.
To receive the free admission, you MUST be a member of SPS for 2008 and on our roster by Monday, July 28. That is, we must receive your payment via PayPal or mail by that date. So if you’ve been putting off joining or renewing, the Norfolk Botanical Garden is offering a nice incentive!
One more change to what was already published about the meeting: the plant sale will be in the shady picnic area inside the garden rather than in the parking lot. So head straight to the picnic area upon entering the garden.
Other details of the meeting are unchanged, such as the 10.00 am starting time of the plant sale.
Looking forward to it!
Jeff
