Ced, you will have to look for a "Jeep Tour" to one of the palm canyons. Many, if not most, of the Washingtonias planted in Palm Springs are actually W. robusta. Also, summer in that part of the world is HOT! Prepare for temps in the mid 40's Celcius, or even higher! It can exceed 50 C on a bad day in the hottest places of that region.
