Classify your soil types-sandy clay, alluvial clay, etc. Try to get one sample from each soil type you will be dealing with. What kind of palms are you dealing with and how old are they? One palm can put up to five times more mass than another. Locate climatic data and find out the active growing season for the area. Use slow release with micros for the length of your growing season. Most of the granular fertilizers suggest useage by the length of the trunk or overall height if there is no trunk present. Amounts will vary somewhat, but are usually on the package.
