I planted 3 queen palms 7 years ago that were 8-10 ft. tall. 2 were planted together/6'apart. One of the 2 has flourished while 1 is shorter, thinner, and barely able to produce a full frond. It currently has 5 fronds which look 1/2-2/3 normal size. There appears to be new growth. I thought it was near death about 1 1/2 years ago but my bush & shrub people said it could be saved and have been dumping large quantities of chemicals.
Is there hope that it will come back completely? If so, how long should it take? What should be done to encourage new and full growth?
