We have a fertilizer that we use in Augusta, Ga. that according to a friend of mine, that has forgotten more about palms then I'll ever know, and it's a "15-7-15 +1.2Mg + Minors Controlled Release Fertilizer." It contains the following:
Nitrogen 15%
Available Phosphate 7%
Soluble Potash 15%
Magnesium 1.2%
Sulfur 7%
Boron .03%
Copper .05%
Iron .45%
Manganese .07%
Molybdenum .009%
Zinc .07%
Everything is coated for slow release except for the copper.
This has the minors and it's slow released. We use it twice a year and it only takes four pounds a treatment for a full size palm tree. On the bag is a key for smaller palms. This is also great for the other type of plants growing close to your palms.
This is the best fertilizer that we know of. If you would like to try this, give me a call.
