Thanks Randy, sorry to be so late getting back here. I have treated the Fans with the mixture twice so far and maybe it appears to be working. The scale dries up and becomes loose(maybe dead?) and removes easier. Noticed scale on some Needles outside also. Guess I'll treat those as well and clean them up by thinning out lower fronds or pups. Yeah, I see that ants could be carriers of the insects and their eggs. Haven't had a chance to look at the link, does he recommend Ortenex? What palms are you experiencing scale with? Thanks
