Hi, Jason. The pindo should be hardy where you are too. Mine is not mature enough to produce fruit yet...maybe this year though? There are a couple guys in TN who have pindos that fruit. It is edible here as it would be in FL. There are no disease problems this far north other than some scale. I hope this helps.
