Randy, I am 95% sure these are Yucca Rostrata.
I have been growing one in my yard for three
years now. The parent yucca, which is located
about a mile down the street from me, has about
5 feet of clear trunk and is a beautiful specimen. It came from Manchester, your old
stomping grounds. I will try and take a few pictures this weekend of the one in my yard and the parent Yucca.
I'm sure that some of our fellow members or
maybe even yourself will be able to identify it.
It is fast growing and very hardy to Middle
Tennessee. From what I can tell, it surely
is Rostrata. I love the look of these yucca's!
There is also a very large multi- trunked specimen in front of an apartment complex here
in the boro. If I have time I will get a picture of it also. These Yucca's produce several pups around the base every year and that is where
the young plants came from that I have.
Mike
