Posted by Tony, Jesup Ga on September 18, 2007, 2:52 pm Instead of the orange flesh on the seeds, this tree has seeds which are larger, at least 50% larger, and which are more red than orange in color. Otherwise this tree looks like any other Jelly Palm. Does anyone have an idea as to what it might be? I would post a picture but I don't have that capability currently. Thanks

I am currently gathering seeds from Jelly Palms (Butia capitata?) and I've noticed that one of the trees has a much different looking seeds.
