I love this one, because it shows that wonderful pocket in Northeastern Alabama where there is so much Sabal Minor and in fact lots of disjunct populations of what are normally Coastal Plain species. This is the area where Ballplay Swamp is. Here are some photos of Sabal Minor is Cherokee County Alabama. Last winter, Rob from Chattanooga, Hayes Jackson and others of us found Sabal Minor on the eastern shore of Weiss Lake which is one county to the NORTH of Cherokee County, and the USDA does not show that county as having Minor.
