Alex, I haven't taken the time yet to collect the hard data, but after five years in the ground in Savannah, Sabal louisiana towers over the other forms of minor, including xtexensis. It may be that xtexensis eventually outgrows louisiana, but right now the tallest xtexensis is perhaps six feet tall overall, whereas the tallest louisiana is about eight feet tall with a short but very noticeable (and attractive) trunk.
