The undersides of the leaves are a chalky white color so the photo is misleading. #2 This is a photo of the palm on a 19 degree morning this past winter. #3 Next to the ugly guy is a palm that I think is destined to be one of the most popular, cold hardy palms in the Southeast. #4 This palm's foliage takes on a powdery blue when it is mature. It is very slow growing and very, very cold hardy.
