If you look hard, you can see that all three in the front are putting out a new leaf. However this is not rare. From the time the seeds arrived from Mr. Chumley as popped seeds with a tap root only, until now, they are putting out a new leaf constantly. About 7 days after one leaf opens, it begins a new one. Again, these 4 trees made it thru 18 degrees last Winter and live in my greenhouse where it gets over 100 on a daily basis.
