Hello all.
I just stumbled onto this site and saw that Mr. Robert Chumley has been posting.
I just wanted to tell all that I have 4 of his Taitungensis X Guizhouensis Hybrid that he wrote of earlier with the guy in Arizona.
I would like to add that my 4 seedlings (at the time they were seedlings with 2 leaves) survived 18 degrees last Winter and have withstood 111 in a greenhouse. I live in a Zone 5 in Kansas. Also, they seem to be scale immune as well.
Mr. Chumley is very helpfull to me as I am on a mission to prove that Cycads and Dioons can survive in Zone 5 & 6 with some protection such as a glass greenhouse with mulch and X-Mas lights in the Winter.
With Mr. Chumley's assistance, I hope to bring a new found tropical landscaping favorite to the Mid West.
