Has anyone had abnormal scale-specific problems with cabbage palms in the 7b region? Mine had been fine for several years but starting last year, half of my palms started getting pretty heavy infestations of scale. i was late on hort oil but got on it and did dormant spraying, did a granual, did a Merit injection this year. butias, washingtonias, sabal minors, needles, trachys, med fan, etc. area all fine. but at the atlanta zoo and even at randy's nursery i noticed problems just on the cabbage palms. any thoughts on prevention or is anyone seeing this kind of trend?
