My dim perception is that Brahea armata doesn't move easily; suggest you ask on the main IPS board.
BTW, your armata is very attractive! Have you considered the posibility that it is the unrecognized species, Brahea clara? There were two rows of B. clara at the east entrance of Huntington BG that were very attractive, but never seemed to blossom or bear fruit. B. clara has been hard to find. I finally (I hope) bought some clara seed recently which are emerging. Best Wishes,
