I am new at a school this year and also have a similar class on my campus. Some activities that I have used include: Books- I read a book to the group while walking around and asking each student questions at their level; Sequencing tasks- I've used basic sequencing books with 3-4 steps and pictures to cut out. But, I use the scenes that are most functional and relevant to these students (like buying soda from a soda machine, making a phone call, etc; I also plan to try role-play to practice something related to the classroom activities (like how to buy a pizza if the student's have a pizza party upcoming)
