I have a student who is 15 years with profound MI. She was a shaken baby and is legally blind. She is at a Ranchos level II-III, variably. I am having a hard time coming up for goals for her. She is minimally responsive. When she is well rested and not wiped out from medications she will respond to tactile, gustatory, or auditory stimuli by opening her eyes at about a 40% accuracy. How do I go about increasing purposeful responsiveness and write achievable goals?
