I am a speech-language pathologist with 10 years of experience working with mentally impaired students almost exclusively. I enjoy working with books with my little cognitively impaired students. Some other books I have found to be adaptable for activities include The Very Hungry Caterpillar (or The Very Hungry Speech Student), Froggy Gets Dressed, the Jacket I Wear in the Snow, Polar Bear Polar Bear, and The Mitten.
