Hello! I teach a Preschool Special Day Class for children with Autism. It is a 5 hour program with a mix of structured and unstructured activities. For the first 45 minutes, we have Facilitated Play within our schedule. I am having trouble training my Instructional Assistants how to properly facilitate play. I have tried printing out tips, modeling, giving direct instructions... But as soon as I begin to work 1:1 with a child, they stop. I am hardly hearing any language, facilitation... Does anyone have any tips or advice for what they have done in the past?
