It sounds to me as if you are on the right track. I would not write any verbal goals but if you find that he is vocalizing and you find some toys he enjoys then you could use a sound activation switch with the toys to try and increase vocalizations. You could use a big mac to request "Tickle me." or "Music" You can adapt many of the new I-Pods using a small battery operated speaker and a battery interrupter. The switch needs to be a latch/timer one or have a separate latch/timer so that the music will play, then shut off after a certain amount of time, then he would have to hit the switch again. All of this costs money so hopefully your organization sees the importance - and you can use them with other students. Good luck!
