Hi
New student in K this year. Nonverbal. Cortically visually impaired and legally blind. Wheelchair bound. Minimal use of one hand. REEL results indicate receptively below 6 mo - expressively 2 months. Responds to voice by localizing by turning head, but has no vision. Mulitple diagnosis and health problems. Tube fed.Need help with goals! Does smile in response to familiar voices, tickling and music. Am thinking if single switch use - focus on cause/effect to activate musical/vibrating toys. Also possible use of Big Mack Switch- use of hand over hand by para to have him say hello to peers in group time. Etc. On right track? Am thinking of NOT writing goals for babbling.Not sure what to expect as far as verbal.
