I give the teaching staff and family vocabulary sheets to fill-out with specific words for that student. I list categories, such as, favorite foods,drinks,snacks, activities,toys,pets, family members,friends,etc...on the form and ask them to complete it. For school vocab. I ask the staff to list the student's schedule(class names, etc..),lunch/snack/drinks he likes, favorite toys/activities he likes at school, supplies he uses, etc.... After they fill these out I sit down & program these specific words/phrases under the "My Spaces" folder. If this is still too much you can create a "User Space" folder for that student. You probably already know you can reduce the number of buttons by going into "settings" & opening up Proloquo2Go file, choosing "appearance", then "item size". If you choose large, very large, or extreme this will reduce the number of buttons shown per page & make them bigger for those with visual, motor, or cognitive difficulties. Hope this helps!
