I am working with a 12 year old girl with downs syndrome. It is clear that she wants to initiate conversation with her peers and adults, but is unsure of what to say in order to keep conversation going or initiate conversation. She understands what people are asking, and answers questions asked to her, but does not reciprocate in the conversation and ask the other person in the conversation the questions. Any activities or ideas to work on this with her?
