I just started seeing a 23 yo with athetoid cp. She has a Vanguard device and her mother is using facilitated communication with her. During our assessment, she let me do hand over hand go help her get to the correct icon - she did seem to have purposeful movement toward the correct icon but all of her extraneous movements make it hard for her to control her arm and she needs a partner to support this. I am looking for some age appropriate activities we can do to work on her more independently make requests, answer questions, etc. She is physically challenged so cooking of make something seems out of the question. Any help is appreciated!
