Yes, I have used the software with a personal handheld computer for an ambulatory non-verbal high school student. I liked the dynamic display and size, those were pluses. Programing wasn't too bad. In my case, we needed picture symbols and the drawback was that everytime something new was needed it had to be imported from the computer, unlike say a Dynavox. Ability to use a pocket pc was a plus, but be aware that most compatible pocket pcs do not have sufficient volume so you would also have to purchase the amplification case. Also, pocket pcs are not terribly durable for being dropped. Most of my non-verbal students are using the Dynavox due to its ability to grow with the user.
