I would encourage you to find another adult in the room (like a 1:1 or paraprofessional) if there is somebody else available, and have them help you with the hand-over-hand training for PECS. You should sit in front of the student, enticing them with a preferred item, and the other adult can sit behind the student and physically prompt them to pick up the picture and hand it to you. Gradually fade out the physical prompting as they become more proficient with handing over the picture and less proficient with eating it, haha! Hope this helps!!
