I have a young child with Autism who will commonly say things out of the blue such as "Betty Crocker Makes Cakes!" or "I've seen a purple dinosaur!" when we were not discussing anything even related to this.
Any tips on decreasing such a behavior? I try to work on topic maintenance and remind him when things are said out of context, but I'm not seeing any progress! HELP!
