Are you talking about a frontal lisp or a true tongue thrust. There is a difference. A tongue thrust is a reverse swallow that babies have and this causes the speech to be in error (sometimes) on /s, z/ and possibly /t/ and /d/.
If the errors (lisp) are caused by a true tongue thurst, you are on the end of a losing battle with trying to keep these services in the school system. We do not treat tongue thrust in the schools where I live and, unfortunately, I do not believe any amount of therapy is going to correct it. You need to find an orthodontist in your area that will put a tongue appliance (crib) in that will retrain the swallowing pattern. Start calling around and ask the person that answers the phone if they treat tongue thrust. You will know right away if they do as they will know what you are talking about. Make sure they know you are saying 'thrust' and not 'thrush'. I got that a lot when I called around for my daughter who also has a tongue thrust that has really messed up her teeth, but has not caused any articulation errors. I hope this helps!
