I currently have a 7yr old child who is english as a second language (spanish) she also has down's syndrome. She does not have any language. She does not articulate any words. She babbles but all of her sounds are fronted. I have tried using Spanish but she does not respond to simple spanish words such as hello, mama, thank you. Receptively she does display understanding of one step commands. I have also introduced simple signs such as more, give me, finished
