Look at Mind Works Resources and the Lynley Stephens materials. I have used the crafts and cooking materials a lot with Life Skills. I usually try to tie into something they are doing in the classroom/or seasonal. I introduce the vocabulary using Boardmaker pics. Demonstrate the activity step by step. Depending on the students you can do some discussion. Then I put up the picture sequence of the activity where the students can see it. They use their communication system to request materials, comment, etc. Then we talk about what we just did. If the teacher is willing and the students are able, I sometimes have a sheet with questions about the activity and then two or three choices for the answer using Writng With Symbols. Mayer Johnson also has "I Can Cook." and some other materials that work well with Life Skills. If they are real young, using literature is fun and tie an activity to the story. Hope that helps!
