For students with high functioning Autism and Aspergers I like to assign each group member a topic to debate. I tell them which position they will take (this promotes flexible thinking and perspective taking) and they are required to debate with another student. They are also given a specific amount of time to state their arguement. I then have the group critique their debate. Start with positive comments and then end with constructive criticism.
