Hi - I do have access to equipment. We use a lot of picture exchange with our little guys also. I have several, though, that have difficulty with the motor problems and can't successfully pick up and deliver a pic without a LOT of time and effort. By the time they do, the comunicative flow/intent is lost. I've tried the switch (big mac etc.) and they tend to enjoy the action of the switch so much that they lose sight of what they were communicating for. These guys are pretty low cognitively. They are super happy, easy to please kids and that actually seems to be working against me. For them there is no to die for (at least not that I've found so far) & they're pleased as punch to do anything kind of fun in the moment - like repeately hitting or mouthing the switch. Any thoughts? I love the idea of creating a picture of me to keep use myself.
Thanks so much for your response! I didn't think there was anyone else out there doing this. Where is your school? What are the ages/disabilities of your guys? Thanks again
