I also work with spec ed preschoolers at a variety of communication levels. I use a lot of AAC and most of it relates to boardmaker. I have pictures FOR EVERYTHING. I even have a picture of myself I give each child before they work with me to help with transitioning. If you have children that do not understand 2-D, start with using actual objects. I use visual schedules for each session... some of the kids need personal daily schedules to help them with their routine. Do you have access to any aug com equipment? Big macs? and voice output devices?
