I wanted to respond to your comment about Star Office and Open Office. Star Office is built with the Open Office which cost nothing, the only difference is you get more clip art and support with the purchase of Star Office. However if you have a mac I suggest NeoOffice (free and native to mac, no X11) it does a better job of opening MS Office files and it also is based on the Open Office software so those documents can be imported also.
Also do2learn has a online or download software just like boardmaker called make a schedule, no limits to the amount of pages or graphics that you need to make boards the cost $49.95 this is for one year for Mac and Windows.
foxfire is nice but SeaMonkey ( Mozzilla also) is better.
want to test comprehension skills on story (windows only) http://www.kidsdomain.com/down/pc/storymakegap1.html
Want to make social stories and have them read on a computer then check this out,

Storymaker3 $15.00, I have #2 and my son loves the interactive stories for social and sensory. Sad
part only Windows.
