You need a sip-tip cup. It comes with a valve. You pump the led until the liquid gets to the top. As the child learns to suck thru' a straw you don't need to pump the liquid up as far. I had amazing results with developmentally delayed 3-5 yr. olds that were used to a bottle. The cups are expensive (about $10) but worth every penny!
