If you can give at least a 6 week trial on each device with the student. Students and families can often pick a good fit for themselves with your help. I find them about the same in terms of ease of programmability but some people like that the Mercury family are built on a PC base. ANd the larger picture in SD Pro for a scanner is nice.If you are using Medicaid, you may want to find out if the PC parts of the device will be able to be left open in your state. For some reason, some state Medicaid organizations lock that part down. You may also want to check out the new "V" by Dynamyte and see what you think. But if at all possible, trial them both over time. That is the best way to decide.
