HELP! I have a child, 5 1/2 years old, who I believe has CAPD. Our audiologist does not seem to know much about it and is reluctant to test him (in my opinion). She feels that he may be too young. I understand that, but I guess I need to know what to do in the mean time. His parents are "freaking out".. he looks to his classmates when instructions are given, routine tasks completely throw his at times...etc etc.
I am treating him right now for phonology, he scored high-moderate on the APP-R.
I guess I don't know what to do. I can't treat him as if he has CAPD because he has not been tested.. I don't think. I would really like to know what is going on with this child!!!!!!!
