tongue thrust

What can be done for tongue thrust? I have heard that dentists can fit a child for different appliances that can correct this problem, but I was wondering if there is anything that we, as speech therapists, can do to correct tongue thrust if that is what it truly is and not just an articulation problem. Are there any oral motor techniques that any of you have used successfully?
