This appears like a child who might have characteristics of ASD. Typically many of ASD children do well on standardized tests as it has to do with rote memory and NOT analytical/generalizing information. Informal checklists and observations sound great for this child. Has this child been brought up to the team at school to see how he/she is functioning academically, socially, etc. that could be impeding his communication?
