I just started a little boy in Kindergarten who fronts k and g. today was only his second session, and he was able to produce /g/ after looking in the mirror and placing his tongue "down" behind bottom teeth, followed by me holding tongue tip down with a toothette...he was SO proud of himself, by the end of the session we began working on initial /g/ nonsense syllables! he has a LONG way to go, but seeing his face light up at his successes was just priceless, and worth the 88K for graduate school!! he has become so withdrawn as his speech has markedly unintelligible, today was an exciting day!
