Honestly for me, at that age, I expect them to be aware of what sounds they need to work on and to come and work for the whole session. I'll tell the older kids that my goal is for them to graduate from speech and that we need to spend as much time as we can working as hard as we can to make that happen. I have 3 and 4 year olds that have never played a game with me, who don't even know that I have toys in a cabinet. Even at that young, if the positive feedback from myself and mom for the good work they did in the session is motivation enough, then that to me is the ideal session. I would rather spend the time that would have been spent on a game getting more productions.
