Use a Dum-Dum sucker and have the child push down the middle to thier tongue and try to elevate the sides of their tongue around the sucker (but leaving the tongue tip down. The sucker stick should be doing that for them.) While the sucker is in place have them say the /sh/...since the sucker is depressing the midline of their tongue the air should come out more at midline. Have them try to feel how their tongue is shaped when the sucker is in there and feel how the air is coming out. Then have them take out the sucker and try to produce /sh/.
I just did this today and it worked GREAT. He was able to produce a super /sh/ while the sucker was in, and a close proximation on /sh/ without the sucker. I gave him a sucker to proactice over the next few days. He was VERY excited about his homework.
